The Restylane Kysse Procedure
Before getting your Restylane Kysse treatment, you’ll begin with an initial consultation. During this meeting, your face and lips will be examined to determine what type of results are achievable. On the day of treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied before the injections. Then, Restylane Kysse is injected into the targeted areas around the lips and mouth. The overall procedure only takes about 15 minutes and after the injections are completed, a protective ointment is applied to the lips.
What to Expect Post-Treatment
The full results of your Restylane Kysse treatment will be visible within a few days and can last up to 12 months. After receiving the injections, there will be minimal downtime and you can return to work or other daily activities immediately. The most common side effects are swelling, redness, pain and bruising at the injection site. To ease mild swelling and discomfort, ice can be applied intermittently to the lips. You may be asked to avoid excessive exposure to hot or cold temperatures and to wear sunscreen when you go outside to prevent temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching.
